Is it possible to take an infrared signal and relay it either using RC kit or Virtual wire ? 

I have googled this like crazy and I'm not finding anything ... 

In my country we have something called remote blasters which do this.

I would like to use two or more arduinos and use them to relay IR signals between eachother using WiFi and/or ethernet.

Is RCKit or Virtualwire capable of doing this .. ? If so , how can I do it  ? What should I use etc.

Any help and feedback would be greatly appreciated.

yes, that would be possible, but I am not aware of anyone who has written the
code and made it available.

Probably you will have to write the code yourself.
