Everyone,

 

Just to clarify further, tomorrow you will each receive the list of sponsors whom we contacted in the past and those who are already confirmed sponsors.   You will also all receive hard copies of the letters from the club and the sponsorship documents as well as the chef registration form too.

 

We will then work to determine pockets where we have not previously outreached and will break that list down further to find sponsors and also to find new potential chefs.

 

If you would be so kind—tonight please think about contacts you have in our community, and be broad based with that definition of community—pretty much the entire Eastern suburb area with emphasis upon Forest Hills and also the areas where our school district outreaches will be the most beneficial.

 

While we already have a good start on much of this process, we want to be diligent in how we use the remaining weeks of our time before our event..

Just a note to say that CC Mellor was the program last week, not this week.  Also, I will not be at the meeting today due to another meeting I have in town at 7:45 a.m.

 

Another item that the club should be aware of:  Daisy, the service dog that we helped purchase for Bernadette's granddaughter, died unexpectedly last week.  Once an autopsy is done to determine the cause of death, she will have to fund raise to get another one.

Rotary International President Sakuji Tanaka is coming to Pittsburgh for the 75th anniversary of the Rotary Club of New Kensington! Congratulations Club President Jennie Bayer and the entire club.

The Interact conference is quickly approaching on October 31 at the Doubletree Hotel in Greentree, please contact your schools and get them involved.  Please contact Conference Chair Sue Kelly (Carnegie-Collier) for more information. If you are starting a new Interact Club please contact Interact Chair Sandy Grimes (Greentree) to make sure they are included. Also, you should have received a packet from the World Affairs Council last week regarding their Institute on November 13th at the Heinz History Center, please support your local school and Interact club in attending.

Interact – It was great seeing all the kids at interact last Wednesday.   Woodland Hills and the committee did a great job of coordinating the event.
