It’s not too late to win another $250,000 – this time for Legacy Scholarships.  Go to www.legion.org and click on the Pepsi Challenge EVERY SINGLE DAY.  We haven’t done so well since we won a few months ago.

On July 1st, we will know if our Job Fairs For Veterans idea is going to be a candidate for the August Pepsi Challenge.  If we get in, this is a really big deal.  We are already putting on veterans’ job fairs across the nation, but we could do so much more with another $250,000.  The first thing a vet thinks about when he/she’s discharged – whether retirement or end of obligation – is, “Where am I going to find a good job?”

You can help them do just that by setting up a voting network in your areas of influence so that when the August 1 start date happens, we will roll out into Number One and stay there – all of the returning vets.  You could practice your network for the rest of the month, just to tune it up.

Let’s try to pull this one through: $250,000 for the Legacy Fund, and definitely get geared up for the August challenge.  Go to www.legion.org and to the Burnpit every day to find out what’s going on in your Legion.  And remember, a new and improved MyLegion is soon going to be debuting.
