To All:
On June 10, 2010, the revised date and time for the Memorial Service was
provided as 4:00 PM, Saturday, July 10, 2010. Due to other activities being
hosted by the Sheraton Dover Hotel on Saturday, the Memorial Service is now
to start at 3:00 PM in lieu of 4:00 PM. Please share this important
schedule revision with your members and the families of our deceased
members. Attached is a notice that you may post on your bulletin board.
The hotel has advised that their ice machines will not be available to posts
to initially stock and/or later replenish their hospitality rooms. Posts
need to make their own arrangements for outside vendor delivery and/or
self-purchase of ice for the entire weekend.
It is anticipated that convention attendees will arrive early on Friday,
July 9, hoping that their rooms will be available early check-in. The hotel
has advised that the Hospitality Rooms will not be ready for check until
after 10:00 AM on Friday. All sleeping rooms will not be ready until after
2:00 PM. In recent years, disruptions have occurred and chaotic situations
have arisen in the hotel lobbies because some delegations want their rooms
earlier than the normal check-in time. Please let your delegation know of
the room availability times.
