Dear Community,

We’re pleased to share new enhancements in the RCDevs OpenOTP Credential Provider (OpenOTP-CP), bringing expanded authentication options for Windows users.

Feature Highlights:

FIDO2 Key Authentication for RDP Across Multiple Hosts:
OpenOTP-CP 3.0.12 now supports FIDO2 security key authentication for RDP sessions via Windows Hello, ensuring secure access across multiple hosts and providing a consistent authentication method throughout your RDP environment.

Offline Login Support with FIDO2 Keys and Windows Hello:
This version also enables offline login on a per-host basis, allowing users to authenticate with Windows Hello and FIDO2 security keys even when OpenOTP backends are temporarily unavailable. This ensures uninterrupted access if the user has previously logged in with FIDO2 security keys on the remote host.

Requirements for Use:
To take advantage of these features, a compatible Windows version is required. For details on supported versions, refer to the official documentation here.

These updates bring increased flexibility and resilience to your RDP authentication process with FIDO technology, enabling secure access even during backend connectivity issues. Check out the latest OpenOTP-CP release in the RCDevs repositories to explore these new features.
