Dear Prashanth,
Many people are watching the heart-breaking news from Afghanistan and asking, ‘What can I do?’
One thing you can do, right now, is help us provide food to children and families.
Donate $15.30
Donate $45.90
Donate $76.50
As children and families are being forced to flee their homes, we need your urgent support:
-
More than 1 in 3 Afghans face hunger today.
-
Two million children are malnourished.
-
Conflict, drought, and the impact of COVID-19 mean we’re expecting hunger to worsen.
Despite the many challenges, the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) continues to have access to most of the country. With your help, we’ll continue to deliver food to children and families.
Our trucks continue to be on the road. Our teams are on the ground working to get food to where it’s needed. WFP has been in Afghanistan for nearly 60 years, and we’re committed to stay as long as possible to deliver assistance to the Afghan people at a time of greatest need.
But we urgently need your help.
Donate to help deliver food
In the first six months of this year, we delivered food and nutrition assistance to 5.5 million people with the help of our supporters. This week in Kabul, we’re moving fast to support 8,400 people who’ve been forced to flee their homes.
It’s a fast-moving situation. And the people of Afghanistan need your support now more than ever.
Thank you as always for your incredible support. I know how concerned you will be, and I want you to know we’re on the ground, working hard on your behalf.
Yours sincerely,
Halcyon Garrett |
