Rotary Greetings.

 

It is our great pleasure to inform you that Rotary Club of Ahmadabad Metro is hosting Prestigious District RYLA 2012 (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) Camp from 23rd to 25th November, 2012 at Jessore Sloth Bear Sanctuary, Jessore Hills, Nr. Palanpur.

 

Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is an international program that was created by Rotary International to encourage strong leadership in youth. Young people chosen for their leadership potential attend an all-expenses-paid camp to develop and enhance leadership skills through activities conducted in an atmosphere of trust and respect. Camp RYLA has helped build leaders for more than 60 years.

 

RYLA aims to teach what it takes to be an effective leader.  Every RYLA includes the following topics:

  • Fundamentals of leadership
  • Ethics of positive leadership
  • Importance of communication skills in effective leadership
  • Conflict management and problem solving
  • Building self-esteem and self confidence
  • Elements of community and global citizenship
  • Rotary’s purpose of service to the community and world

RYLA this time is based on the theme “LEAD TO LIVE AND LIVE TO LEAD”. It will cover concepts of Environment Conservation, Rotary Spirit of Universal Brotherhood, and encompassing the horizon of leading all domains of life; personal, professional, social and spiritual.

 

Mr. Suresh Patel - A well Known Management Trainer will co-ordinate this RYLA. Programme is designed to train the participants on various topics through audio visual presentations, group discussions, workshops & role-playing by various experts in the fields of leadership & Management, Physical Fitness & Yoga, Community Service, Career opportunities, Human Rights, Critical National issues and Environment.

 

About Jessore

This fascinating sanctuary is located at a distance of 35 km from Palanpur. Located in the Banaskantha district and covering about 180 square kilometres area, the Jessore Sloth Bear Sanctuary was declared a sanctuary in the year 1978. Apart from sloth bears, the sanctuary also happens to be the dwelling of a range of vibrant birds and wild animals like hyena, blue bull, civet, leopards, jungle cat, porcupine, sambar wolf and wild boar to name a few. Located in the folds of Aravali hills, Jessore hill is the second highest peak in Gujarat. Our Camp Site is situated on the bank of a river and it is surrounded by beautiful mountains. As only limited participants will be included in this RYLA, you are requested to send the entry immediately & avoid disappointment.  

 

Entry Fee for each participant is Rs. 1700 (which includes Accommodation, Food, Study Material, Bag, T-shirt & Cap Please send the fees by D.D. or at par cheque in favour of Rotary Club Ahmadabad Metro – Payable at Ahmadabad.
