Greetings!
I recently finished assembling my RP2040 kit, and most things seem to be working. However, Small Computer Monitor does not show up on the VGA display plugged into the card. I am able to use my USB keyboard to access the menus inside of PicoTerm, but I cannot seem to access anything that is not on the terminal card/sd card. I would like to be able to get into small computer monitor and CPM.
My setup is:
SC114 SBC
SC139 Serial 68B50 ACIA module
SC145 Compact Flash Module
SC148 Power Supply Module
I am pretty new to all of this, so any help is appreciated. Thank you!

Hi Nick,

I'm not familiar with the SC114 setup, so I can't comment on that. But regarding the RP2040 VGA Terminal, it sounds like the module itself is working, but it isn't hearing any serial data coming in from the SC114.

My first thought would be the two jumpers just next to the USB socket.  Make sure that they are both set to the lower position.  This will mean that it is using pins 35 and 36 on the RC2014 bus for serial communication, at 115,200 baud.

Also, make sure jumpers JP1 and JP2 on SC139 are fitted to connect RX and TX to the bus.

This fixed it! Thank you so much! I was getting ready to reflow a bunch of pins, but I’m glad it was just a newbie misunderstanding the documentation 😅
