Hello everyone -

Spencer was kind enough to invite me to this group as I learn this new (for
me) platform. I have a strong interest in making CP/M my next operating
system. Currently, I have a strong interest in obtaining one of the boards
to get familiarized with the OS. I grew up with almost no computers in our
house and, eventually my brother got a mac+ when entering college. I played
a few games on it. Mostly, spent my childhood playing outside or in little
league baseball.

So, I've spent most of my adult life with various full sized rigs for
gaming, personal business, typical stuff. My retro computing life has
centered around my tandy laptop, where the bulk of my writing is done.

Watching various retro computing channels on youtube, I learned of CPM by
osmosis. Quite familiar, since I spent some years using DOS.

I've been transitioning my computer use with an eye on minimalism.
Effectively all my home computers utilize low power and fanless operations.
A few RPI's and a WYSE thin client for x86 work.

My favorite form factors are system-in-keyboard (commodore, atari, model
200) and all-in-ones (tandy model 1/2/4).

My only issue with those retro systems are the funky keyboard layouts. So, a
goal of mine is to make a major build project that folds the modern board
designs with modern components but make it aesthetically retro-style.
