Playing around with some apps I found.

Micro Stat from here:

unzips to a bunch of files with 002 and 003 extensions.  It fails to launch, and some digging, I think maybe the problem is that the 002 and 003 files are compressed or something and need to be uncompressed.

Anyone have any ideas if that might be the case?

A  quick look shows that it sort of works.

I tested on windows 11 at command prompt under runcpm.
I unzipped on Windows and it is clear that A-MAIN.002 should be named A/MAIN.002 under CP/M. Doing that rename makes the first error go away. Try renaming the others.
It is a program that runs with MBASIC. v2 doc of Microstat is on the internet, but it doesn't match this software instance.

I got as far as the menu of options so I guess with a bit of tweaking it can be made to work better.

Numbered file extensions take me back to the days where we used to "split" archives (numbered) , uuencode them, and put post them on usenet ... Uudecode them, "cat" them together, and unarc/unarj...

But, as you didn't mention 001 files, that seems unlikely....

Unless there are files with the same base name, with normal extension, which is really the 001?

Just replacing all the "-" in the filenames with "/" per Richard's suggestion seems to have worked.  Oh, and entry must be in caps.

I'm guessing the "/" doesn't work in zip files so they replaced with "-".  It would have helped if there was at least a note of some sort mentioning this.

Nice job Richard.

Thanks,
Robb

Fell into myself a while back. :)

I use LBR to package and unpackage under CP/M to avoid those issues.
