Hi there,

I hope someone can help me out with installing the Coleco system on my RomWBW setup..

I have followed the procedures indicated in the link below:

I have placed the coleco bios in the same folder and .I have cross assembled the loader.asm using sjasm.

I have tried to play a few games (I have renamed every game from .COL to .ROM) but after running:

A: COLECO FROGGER.ROM

I get the message that the game has been loaded but the game won't start.

I have tried with several games but no avail.

Thanks a lot.

Cheers
Alberto

A couple of things to check:

Do you have your TMS9918 jumpers configured as recommended here for ColecoVision? https://github.com/jblang/tms9918a?tab=readme-ov-file#recommended-jumper-configurations. Be sure to configure the interrupt jumper correctly, not just the address. The games will not run without a regular video interrupt on NMI.

Have you tested something simpler, like the example programs in the TMS9918 repo? Is stuff like ascii.com and nyan.com working?  These don't require interrupts though, and they will autodetect the port, so if they work, it says nothing about whether you have your jumpers correctly setup to work with ColecoVision games, but at least it will prove your card works.

Hi there,

Many thanks for coming back to me.

I will go through all the setting again just to make sure I have got them all right!

Just to confirm that all the other stuff like ascii.com and nyan.com work properly.

I also confirm that after assembling the loader I did not receive any error message so I assume the file generated is also correct.

Thanks again.

Cheers

Alberto
