Downloading Software from the Net to Mini,

I want to download GSX to my Mini.What sit shall I use for  Binary Converter Download??

Hi !!!

I got GSX related files from 'cpm.z80.de' for CPM-80 GSX.Are these files compatible withe the Mini??

The System wouldn't let me attach them.

A few ways to achieve this, but one way would be to use the File Packager on the main RC2014 site for the binary files you're looking to upload, then run DOWNLOAD.COM on your RC2014, copying and pasting the contents of the packaged file into your terminal emulator. It's best to have a 1-2 ms delay between each character when you're doing that because of the lack of flow control.

Alternatively, I like to use XMODEM, but you need to upload that to your RC2014 first before you can use it.

Yeah, I like doing it via DOWNLOAD.COM.

I changed the GSX file, to Binary, Copied it 

to Tera-Term, changed the time/character

as 2mS.Then I linked my USB to Serial cable,

to the Mini with CPM Board via my PC.

I take it, I have to include the Filename in

 inverted commas - DOWNLOAD "GSX.COM"

- right??

I've done it before, obviously not enough times!!!

You'll also need to depackage it on the other side using DEPKG if you're using DOWNLOAD.COM. So the steps there would be to use DOWNLOAD with a file name of something like "GSX.PKG", then use DEPKG on that file. It's been a while since I've used it myself, but you don't need to enclose the file name in inverted commas for DOWNLOAD.

Yep!! - I got it!!

I Downloaded DRIVERS.GSX - No problems!!

As I've decribed before, I'm trying to do some GSX Graphics on the RC2014 Mini with CPM Upgrade.

There's a Directory called GSX80, and I'm trying to Download the Basic file.

But the PC won't let me View its contents in NOTEPAD.
