Pi Pico VGA Card

I'm certainly a newbie to all this. I have enjoyed building and experimenting with my RC2014 Classic II. I recently assembled a Pi Pico VGA Terminal in the hopes of using the RC2014 without the terminal app on my Mac - just with a keyboard and old VGA monitor. 

The firmware update went well but then, when I installed the picoterm on my backplane, although my VGA monitor showed the RC2014 Home Screen and the keyboard functioned allowing me to view the HELP and Configuration menus etc, that is as far as I get.

It was my understanding that I should be able to  press the "RESET" button on the backplane and be able to boot into Z80 Basic or SCM. What am I missing? The "RESET" button, which works as expected when the RC2014 is linked to my Mac through the terminal app - but does nothing when the pi pico vga terminal is in use.

Any ideas?

Hi Chad,

It sounds like the Pi Pico is not receiving any data from the RC2014, which is normally a jumper issue.  There are two jumpers on the Pi Pico VGA Module which should both be vertical in their upper ("1") position.  That should get you up and running.
