I managed to download a version of SCM, but I’m not to certain about which or what version it is. If I go to small computer central I can’t find any mention of this version.

SCW036_SCM130_20220325

So I downloaded the “latest version” according to the website:

SCWorkshop v0.3.4 plus SCMonitor v1.3.0.20220227

(Which seems to have an earlier date?)

My problem is, in the version I first found. The folder SCMontior/Apps there is a folder called CPM_CBIOS_and_PutSysPlus witch I have used in the past to build a custom putsys to boot cp/m from.

But in the “latest version” downloaded from small computer central, the CPM_CBIOS_and_PutSysPlus  folder does not exist! So how do I customise my CP/M install?

I have found in the SCWorkshopProjects folder these:

CPM v2.2 BDOS'  'CPM v2.2 PutSys Plus' 'CPM v2.2 CBIOS'

I think they are the same thing as the above folder. But are they newer or older? And the Read.me file does not explain how to use them?

What version should I be using? If it’s the SCWorkshopProjects one how do I create the hex file that combines BDOS+CBIOS+putsys ?

Thanks

Derek

Hi Derek,

It would appear you found some inconsistent links on my website.

The latest published version of the SCW+SCM source code package is here: (on the SCM v1.3 page)
https://smallcomputercentral.com/small-computer-monitor-v1-3/
This version is "SCW036_SCM130_20220325" and includes the "CPM_CBIOS_and_PutSysPlus" folder.

The version on the SCW page is older. I've now updated that link.
I must try harder to arrange my site so there is only one link to each resource to avoid missing some of them when doing updates!

There is one additional issue with the published source code. I have recently made a very small update to SCM for which I have not yet published the source code. The current ROMs are SCM v1.3.1 while the published source code is v1.3.0. Version 1.3.1 fixes an issue with event timers in some configurations of SCM. The "CPM_CBIOS_and_PutSysPlus" folder is however still current in the published code.

So, if you download SCW036_SCM130_20220325 you should find the latest tools to build a custom PutSys in the SCMonitor/Apps folder.

Note to self: I need to update the SCM source code on my site.
