Bhai log ,
With everyone around getting married and settled, it seemed to be the time for me as well to bid adieu to my bachelor friends and step into the next phase of life .
So here I am , writing to let you know that I too am getting married and I am getting married to someone whom I have been knowing now for the past 5 years.
Now some of you did know about this but then for many it would be a surprise (trust me it’s for me as well :-D).Anyways, despite what you heard, this is my chance to break the news.
So , I met Dalia when I joined my first job at Infosys. We enjoyed each other's company and I found her interesting in a way I relate to well. Since then we moved jobs, moved countries but still there was something holding us together and things just went on. Finally here we are , all prepared to tie the nuptial knots.
Anyways, this was just to break the news and you will be getting a proper invitation in due course. With this sudden ‘burst’ of marriages to attend , I know it is tough, but your presence would mean a lot. Let me also remind you that the dates mark almost 10 yrs of life after RC and if you still remember Akhil Misra's words :-) .....
The marriage would be at Kolkata on June 21st followed by a reception on June 24th at Bodhgaya. You can plan to attend either (great if both) as per your convenience.
The invitation to follow will have further details about the venue and the events. Even if you have the slightest chance of making it, do let me know and I would be more than happy to help you plan the trip and do the necessary arrangements !
I also tried contacting many of you on phone but I think numbers have changed ....... so had to use the good old e-mail :-)
