Larger volume production and Version 3

It is early days to be thinking of the next step. I have been doing a
little investigating anyway.

The cost for production of more main boards (not including parts)

20 boards: 440KR = 47Euro = 65USD each board
50 boards: 290KR = 31Euro = 43USD each board

This is based on automated manufacturing using a local, fairly priced
resource.

IMHO: 47euro is not a good number and 31Euro is ok.

This means finding 50 more users which looks unlikely at the moment.

Which brings me on to version 3.
What would it have to look like to attract 50 more users?
Are we talking about something with more integration or something
simpler?
Will this become a remote oilpan? A CAN-pan perhaps.

UDB4 is coming up which will change the architecture again

Maybe it should be designed to be compatible with the upcoming UDB4
oilpan, making the UDB4 oilpan remote from the UDB4 main board.

Is there any point to doing remote with UDB4? The deisgn is more
compact than UDB3, so maybe not.

Whatever the project does, it should aim not to steal from the main
project, just add to it.
