Hello friends,

It is quite some time since there was activity on this stopped/failed
project. Something new is happening...

The MAVlink group is starting to define a standard for connecting CAN
peripheral devices to a UAV.
This means that you can wire up your UAV with servos and sensors, then
plug in the autopilot processor of your choice.

There is the new MP32 project that gives us ARM cortex 32bit power
combined with the ArduPilot platform.
The UDB4 will be with us sometime in a neat little package.

So this project will restart with yet another new focus.

This is not going to happen quickly. I am still recovering from last
years burnout and desperately just want to go and fly something.

Regards Matt

Hi Matt,

Good to know that you investigating future options. Having a good solid communications protocol (MAVlink) is going to accelerate developments for all communities of UAVs.

As you probably know the UDB4 prototypes version 2 are in the process of being produced by Sparkfun.

I was not able to attend (or watch completely) Robert Navoni's in depth lecture on the Multipilot32. Sound interesting.

Best wishes, Pete
