I removed the 72MHz board from a JR SX600 Tx and installed a Corona
2.4GHz module following Bruce's video. Works well. 10 model memory
and 6 channels.

When I set it next to my Spektrum DX6 it looked identical. When I
opened the Spektrum I found the innards alike as well, except that
they mounted their 2.4GHz module on the 72MHz board stand-offs, and
the switch for binding/range check is on the 2.4GHz board, positioned
so it occupies the 72MHz crystal aperture. Hmmm, would the Rx be
compatible with both systems? I'll do some testing.

I'd like to make a conversion to a 7.2 volts, as Bruce did on the
Chinese 9Ch radio, but everything is closely spaced on the circuit
boards, and I don't know which resistor needs to be changed, or
modified. If anyone has done this on the DX6 or SX600 I'd appreciate
some help.

By removing the old VHF RF board and fitting the 2.4Ghz board you have
probably doubled the TX battery run time already. If the Corona module
uses a buck regulator like some others do (FrSky, FlyDream) then it's
probably got nine tenths of the best efficiency you can get anyway.
Perhaps see how long your TX pack lasts now, before risking too much
to gain maybe very little.
My 2 cents,
Martin

No compatibility. It is different system.
