Thy Kingdom Come!

Dear Brothers in Christ,

My apologies for getting this out to you all so late.  Please see below for information on this weekend's Christ
the King and Urban Hunt activities.  Please let me know if you have questions.  Again, my apologies for getting
this out so late.

Speaking of which….Below you’ll find a copy of our flyer announcing Christ the King activities and instructions for those participating in the Urban Hunt.  If you are able, please plan to join us for the culmination of the liturgical year, when Catholics assert as a witness to the world that Christ is King and Lord of history and of our hearts.  It’s such a wonderful, joyful feast!

Friends and extended family are more than welcome to our acts of worship and celebration.

CHRIST THE KING URBAN HUNT - 12-2 PM SUNDAY

The hunt will take place in teams of 4.  It can be up to 6 if children are involved.  You may make up your own team and tell Catherine who is on the team or send your name to Catherine for her to put you on a team at random.  All members of the team are to stay together at all times.  Each team needs a car, a cell phone, and a digital camera.  Any means on top of that (such as a blackberry, road map, GPS, etc...) are licit, but not necessary.  The race will take place on and near the CUA campus, but will require some driving.

All participants should meet at the cafeteria of the Shrine at 11:45 am.  Identical clue packets will be handed out to each team.  At 12 noon the race begins.  The team can look at all the clues and decide in which order they would like to solve them.  At 2 pm all participants need to be back at the Shrine with their cameras and anything they have collected for their clues.  The winning team is the team that solves the most clues successfully.  If two teams have a tied number of points, the winner is the team that arrived to the finish line first.  Anybody arriving after 2 pm is disqualified.  There are some bonus points for originality and creativity.

To sign up for the hunt please contact Catherine at catherin...@yahoo.com to sign up a full team or to be put on the list to be assigned a team.  Registration for the hunt closes at midnight on Friday, November 19.  It costs $10 per team to enter the hunt and this fee creates the cash prize for the winning team (who will also receive a copy of A Heart Like His, by Thomas Williams, LC).  Please bring $10 per team to the start line.
