Standard 5mm, or something else? I seem to recall a discussion around them using an inch standard bolt, but I could be wrong.

BTW - I don't have the bike yet, but need to let my son know how to loosen/remove the post so he can ship it to me.

Oh, you just need to know which wrench to use. Yep, 5mm Hex/Allen wrench.
