I'm offering for sale my 56 cm. Simpleone complete.  I purchased the frame second hand from a list member last Spring.  The frame is in excellent condition with only a rare paint chip or scuff on the top tube and down tube and nothing offensive.  After purchase I treated the frame with Frame Saver then applied an exterior polish.  Always garage stored and never wet.  The wheel set is Velocity A23 and velocity hubs and flip flop rear hub. They were  hand built by my LBS.  Tires are creme Schwalbe Delta Cruiser.  Build list:  Riv supplied headset, Nitto stem (i think 100mm) and Nitto Noodle handlebars.  Brakes are Shimano cantis.  Crankset is a 44 tooth FSA and freewheel is an 18 tooth Shimano.  The saddle is a Brooks B17 Honey. The Pedals are MKS RMX.   Extras include a nitto front rack, Sackville XS saddlebag, Sackville Sm front trunk bag, Pletcher kickstand, and Planet Bike mudguards.  I think the yellow against the green Simpleone looks neat but opinions may vary.  The reason I'm selling is that I have several bikes so this one is not getting use and I need the space in my garage, too.  I am wanting $1500.00 net for the package as described.  It is somewhat negotiable if some of the extras are removed from the offer.   The buyer is to pay for my LBS to pack the bike and ship via Bike Flights.  Please send me a direct message off list if you have questions.

Thanks for looking

Wow...here's a nice one.  Someone might hastily put the price and the bike together, and wonder about the value.  But Steve's put a load of pricey extras in this deal.  I know Steve, his bikes, and how meticulously he cares for them.  If I didn't already own a Quickbeam, I'd be mighty tempted.

Disclaimer - Steve is a good friend of mine.

The wheels and bags add value for sure, but you gotta get decent pics, bro! People like to stare at pretty pictures a while to talk themselves into "needing" it.

Exactly why I don’t want better pics, Joe! I so don’t need this bike but I know I will want it.

I know, Joe.  I was using my cell phone in tight quarters and lower light levels.  Tougher for a friction shifting rim braking guy like me...I'll see what I can do.

Due to my digital mediocrity, I have another way for viewers to see this bike as awhole.  If you are Instagram:  look at my feed @graveldoc for these days:  7/26/18, 7/4/18/, 6/23/18/6, 6/21/18, and 2/9/18.  If you need something else or are not on IG let me know, please.  I can text images to you but, due to some family time the next few days, it may be mid next week at the soonest.  Thanks, all!

The cream tires and Longboards really set it off, eh? It's a good thing it's too big for me! 😬

Just an update.  I have sold the bags on the Simpleone and will reduce my price to  $1400.00 net with the buyer covering my LBS packing and Bike Flights shipping.  Also, the cream mudguards are on a different bike and the Simpleone has bright yellow mudguards that, IMHO, look great with the green frame.

Man what a nice bike! If I didn't already have a Frank Jones, and if your SimpleOne wasn't a little too big for me, I'd be all over that deal. Can't believe it's not gone already.

Yes, Philip,  The bags have beeb sold.  The current fenders on the bike are Planet Bike in commuter yellow.  They really look neat with the dark green paint in my opinion.  Steven

I just posted three photos I came across of the S.O. I had taken for a fellow that has expressed interest.   They were done to show some pain imperfections.  The top tube photos shows some specks caused by Frame Saver.  The down tube and seat tube show very tiny paint chips but no rust or dents or dings.  Please DM me if you've questions to ask.  Steve

I'm stunned this is still available. Assuming it rides like the QB, it is delightful. Buy it, and have a classy, gliding town and country bike!

Bumping this and sweetening the deal with the addition of two bags including a Waxwing seat wedge and a Gilles Berthoud Alex Singer mini front rack bag. Both bags are excellent like new condition. Both are light bluish grey color with honey leather trim. Funds from sale of this bike will go towards purchase of another bike.

I'm shocked that this is still available! My SimpleOne is hands down the best bike I have ever ridden in my life. It's one of the few personal possessions I'm putting in storage (i.e. long-term loan to a good friend) when I move across the pond. The absolute perfect mix of stability and sprightliness.

Somebody snatch this one up!

I agree about the SO.
I had a 58 QB and a 58 SO and I sold the QB.
There's something about that frame that rides like a Riv but also is alive and springy.
I'm waiting to get mine back from Bilenky where's its having a tube repair and repaint.

Love my SimpleOne (bought from list member tc) and also can’t believe no one has jumped to buy this one!

Someone please get it before I buy it because it’s just such a good deal and with the excuse that it’s for my wife even though it’s probably too big for her.

What is the difference (geometry, ride and feel) between the QB and the SO? I was under the impression that the SO was a discount QB, but it's not impossible (barely) that I was mistaken.

I don’t think it was a discount QB
I honk it actually cost more than the latest QB when it was released. It was made in Taiwan instead of in Japan by Panaracer. According to GP in one of the blogs, geometry is “nearly identical”. It had a slightly fancier fork and a kickstand plate. Not sure if he tubing is a touch stouter or not but I suspect it could be

Bumping my Simpleone and adding a couple of bonus bags.  One Waxwing seat wedge and one Gilles Berthoud Alex Singer mini front rack bag.  Both bags are light blue grey in color with honey colored leather trim.  Both bags are in excellent like new condition and stored indoors and never wet.  The front bag fits nicely on the front rack on the Simpleone.  The price for the entire package is still $1000.00 plus packaging and shipping from 65804.  Please DM me off list with questions.  Steve
