I saw the listing for the dirt road ride/bike demo/swap meet on BikeReg. I'm intrigued and planning on going. Does anyone know any details? Anyone else going?

Bumping this up. Anyone else interested? I'm thinking about it. I don't have a road bike that fits 42mm tires (recommended on the bikereg page), so I'm thinking 29er MTB. Bad idea?

In case anyone else is wondering, this is in Clinton, Connecticut.

I'm still in. I talked to Johnny (aka Ultra Romance) and Troy from Crust about it at French Fender Day. It sounds like some of the off road sections might require larger tires but a lot of the route will be on quiet paved roads. They're going to post three routes of varying distances later in the week. Johnny and Troy thought the shorter ride could be made junior friendly so I'll probably be there with my 8 and 10 year old CCAPers. My boys will be on their CX bikes; I'll probably be riding my Legolas or Homer. We may start later in the day so that we can be in the area for the swap meet, party and bike demo at 4PM.

Thanks. I like the idea of a shorter, later ride, as it's about a 4 hour drive down there for me. I'll wait and see what the route info is when it's posted.

Registration is now closed. Well that's a bummer. I was planning to go but waiting for more info on the various routes to be forthcoming. But I guess I was mistaken.

Same here too - wanted to see if I'd need different tires. Anyhow, there's a ride the next day on Bear Mountain...http://nycvelo.com/2017-nyc-velo-fall-adventure-series/ has anyone done these rides? I'd like to do it, but don't want to be the grumpy slowpoke in a crowd of fast club riders.
