Friday Fun. Anyone good at Rivendell puzzles?

I've been gathering pictures from Flickr of every model of Rivendell ever built, and I'm almost positive I've missed one or two along the way. So here's the challenge: take a look at the following picture and correct my obvious errors. I thought it would be fun to arrange them in chronological order, but ran out of patience and knowledge along the way. Honestly I was impressed at how many models we've been introduced to since 1994. You'll notice that in some cases I did not include versions of the same model, like I might have a Wilbury in there but not a Glorius. Or the Diaga-Bombadil and not the undertuber. I'm happy to make the gathering more complete and comprehensive of course, but I'm limited to the photos I find on Flickr or elsewhere on the web. The original file is 30" x 30". This version is much smaller. My apologies to anyone who would rather not have their bike on the poster. Let me know and I'll revise as needed. By the way, some of the models that lack unique names are the Mountain, the Long Low, the Road Standard, and the All Rounder. 

Kind of a fun project for a slow night. If I was in the same state as my wife it wouldn't have happened at all. Working in one place and living in another is something I need to fix, kind of like this poster.

Jeremy - thanks for that list, that makes sense. Joe, I included the Redwood in place of the Romulus as they were the same bike - different sizes as I recall, kind of like Betty Foy / Yves Gomez. Might just have to add another row or two to capture the duplicates like that, and I'll add the Canti-Rom if I do that Ray . Bill, thanks for the clarification on the Mtn name. Man, that one is hard to find good photos of. There have ben a few notable customs along the way, and I'll add one of those while I'm at it. I'll plug away and post an update.

I'd buy that as a poster. Maybe Riv can provide the photos so you don't have to bother with other people's photos.

If you have the San Marcos, shouldn't an older Heron be in the mix? Also, don't forget the Rivendell Sauron:

Ha! Joe, If I had a magic wand, I'd swap the graphics on my Bleriot for your AHH!  Different strokes, I guess.  (BTW, I'm sure our bikes are not similar sizes....mine is 51).

I would suggest inclusion of the Heron models, Road and Touring.
These were designed by Grant, made by Waterford, sold direct by RBW
for a time, and precursors of the Rambouillet and Atlantis as I
understand it. There are several pics of both available on
Cyclofiend's website.

Herons will be added, and the poster will have to grow another row, but that means I can add the undertuber AHH too, (like I did the Hillborne)  and probably one more I'm sure will come along. Do you recall when the Heron's were introduced? Was it just after the Long Low? Speaking of posters, I think I have one of the Heron posters around somewhere. That was a nice one for sure.

One more time! (With apologies to James - I know there are more than a few one-offs/prototypes etc, but I'm going to give it a rest for now.) Here's the semi-final poster, with Herons added, along with another nice custom. I would have loved to add that wonderful "mountain mixte" custom they did a while back, but did not have a good photo to use. Anyone on the list own that one? A couple of you have asked that this be submitted to Cyclofiend, and I've had a couple other invitations to lists. Happy to do that, but I'll wait for an official nod that everything is accurate and in order first. Not sure where that comes from, so in the mean time, enjoy it as you like. I kept the original file in Photoshop form, at a size of 30" x 40" - 300dpi. It's a pretty big file. Not enough time this year, but if anyone would be interested I could make up some custom posters for those interested in swapping their own bikes into the mix. All I would need is a high-res shot of your bike or bikes  (driveside like these) with enough room around it to crop it to fit the scaling. (That was the biggest issue I had with this task - too many great photos with no room to crop) I have no idea how much it would cost to do a one-off poster of frameable quality, but I'll look into that. Many of you lucked out and already see your bikes in this gathering. I have no idea (other than my own Bombadil) who these belong to. I suppose anyone can download the original file on Flickr and take it to Kinkos for a print. I don't think those cost too much. Let me know if that works OK.

Once again, the bunch comes through with details no one of us could know. That Saluki headbadge looks different too - does anyone have a closeup? This poster is becoming wallpaper!

That's really cool. If you can "Dropbox" it, people could probably
have the file printed at a local-to-them photo store or "service
bureau." I'm going to guess ~$60 for a large-format print. I had my
local photo store make a 24"x36" blow-up last year (http://
www.flickr.com/photos/philipwilliamson/261997646/) - it cost about $45
printed and mounted on foam-core. I think the printers they have are
about 36" across, so you could size up or down pretty easily to 36x48
or 27x36.

Weren't you one of the original partners with RBW in the Heron
project? I also have a poster (still in the tube) which is an
artist's rendering of the brick front of a bike shop with a Heron bike
in the window and an old bird smoking and pipe and walking with a cane
out front. Is this the poster you are referring to? Why the
controversy? Inquiring minds want to know.

Ted,

Thanks for your response, and for your role in bringing this bike to
market. As Steve says, the Heron represents an important chapter in
Riv history. I own one of the later Heron Roads that I purchased from
one of the dealers in 2003, and I still treasure the bike after many
years of riding it. I hope there are no lingering hard feelings among
any of the original partners because you did a good thing.

The poster was a great idea, Marty. Hopefully RBW will sanction it or
even consider selling it themselves, sans controversy of course.
