Fender clearence
Anything?
K
I didn't see the link - did you send one?
I have a 83 Lotus Excelle. It has clearance for about 700x32mm tires
with fenders. It's not a bad bike. Some nice details.
Not as smooth as a ride as a riv, imo, but not shabby at all.
I think I'm going to pass on this anyway.. with shipping just seems high to me.. and I may be wrong.. not to mention I have a 68cm 80's Schwinn Traveler frame on the way.. (winter project)
Just curious if my impression of being over priced was shared... I think I offered 150 + 134 shipping seamed to me to be a reasonable value.. seller countered with 295 and I walked away from it.
Since it looked nice in pictures figured I would ask about it.

yah - I agree $300 looks a little steep. If you could pick it up
locally $150 would be great for that bike. After you finished swapping
our various parts and.or just tuning it up - you'd have a nice bike
at a reasonable price.
I have to say this - I'm happy with the lotus I have and if I had it
setup in a road-bike-y style I suspect it would be a nice ride - as it
is with albatross bars on it I like it for around town and for taking
on the bus where I'm not crazy about putting the romulus.

A couple of other Loti you should be aware of:

just the ones I found on the various craigslists that seem to be your
size (or thereabouts).

I really have to work on not buying more bikes.. and failing miserably.. now you give me more links that require self control to not purchase.. is there a 12 step program for this?
I had also just picked this 63cm bike up for 24 bucks (shipping 49)

Notice the crank.. :)
off to craigslist to look at those bikes again...

That's a good looking bike and those biopace rings look to be in good shape.
You know - I'd take that off your hands for $30.. You'd make a tidy
20% profit :)
