I know, a unicorn might be easier to find. But I understand they don't like to be ridden, so I'm trying for a Clementine frame and fork. Had one that I sold for financial reasons. Cash, trade or some of both. I have a 24" Raleigh International, Brooks saddles, various Riv-approved handlebars, and Paypal or check. Kindly reply off list. Thanks!

I really hope you get one, Mark. No one loved the Clementine like you did. It was a dear thing. I look forward to your upcoming posts about the bike, just like old times!

I want one too, and so do a few other people on this list. All the dealers are out. I called Riv about inquiring a couple of months ago and they said there was a plan to another run in June/July.

At this rate Riv should open up deposits on the next run. There's definitely market for getting in line.

In my circle alone there are 3 who want Clementines (don’t bother correcting me, I give up on the Clem L name - it’s too confusing and also annoying to type) but can’t get them. Dad is on the list for the 59, my sister wants the 52, and my friend (who is moving overseas and I will never get to ride with her 😩) wants one too. This bike makes folks really happy. I still love to read Lovely Bicycle’s review now and again. No wonder folks aren’t reselling them.

Maybe this one is still available (no affiliation):

I think it was on eBay at some point.

Thanks, Max. That's a 59, which I could ride, and I generally like bigger, but the 52 is what I'm after in a Clementine. Also I have almost all the parts from my original Clementine, so I seek a frame and fork only.

Hey Mark, if it's not a time crunch, didn't I see the Clementine will be back in stock around August? We're hoping we are able to do our next (and last, phew!) two then.

With abandon,
Patrick

I do recall reading something like that a while back. No, not a pressing matter. I always have a few old bikes around. In fact, I finally built up my old Bianchi 650B city bike as my Clementine substitute:

It's more a matter of, I have a bit of cash on hand at the moment, but I doubt for much longer.
A few more photos of my Bianchitine (maybe a little awkward, but better than Bianchi L)

Regarding the name: when Riv announced that there had been backlash and discontinued the Clementine nomenclature in favor of Clem H and Clem L, I suggested the real right move would be Clementine H and Clementine L. Because why not.

I have a 52 Clem H, mustard, frame and fork for $400 if anyone wants to pick it up in north San Diego Co.  Unridden, but parts were mounted then removed.  I don't know if this is a "Clementine" that you guys are referencing, or something different.  You can text me in the 949 area code at 426-8242.
Thanks, KT.

If I remember correctly Mark, you have a black Clementine. I don't think they will offer that color in the new batch, unfortunately. I too eagerly await a Clem (L) entine.

It sound like Kim only wants to sell this locally.  Is there anyone in the San Diego area who'd be willing to facilitate the sale / shipping?

Riv posted a photo of a Rosco step-through on Instagram a couple of days ago, and somebody asked if it was a Clem. Rivendell replied "Rosco. Similar to the upcoming Clem Ls" (https://www.instagram.com/p/BxVSk8Rjci8/) Could there be a new, updated Clem L around the corner? I'm probably way over-excited about that comment... but anyway. Just chiming in.

A new shipment of Clem L is due shortly. It's not a new version.

Great photo. Step though bikes are the future. I thought this was a Clem but Jones Step through, though branded as a space frame.

I love the description Jones has of what is basically describing the benefits of a step through bike.

The Spaceframe design was Jeff’s original frame design, and he designed it to help him navigate the rocks and logs in the mountains of Southern Oregon. The frame’s top tube is low and out-of-the-way, which keeps the bike out of your way on the bike in steep, technical terrain. A side benefit of the low-slung design is that it’s also great for those with shorter legs because the frame has a very low standover height. Its 3D Spaceframe design allows the rear end to flex vertically which makes for a smooth ride, without the frame flexing torsionally. These flex characteristics are most noticeable on the titanium version because of the inherent flexibility of that material.

The bicycle in this link is emphatically not a step-through. Not by any stretch.

Nope, Spaceframe is a sloping toptube like Gus will be. That ain't no step-thru.
