Hello again.  I haven't posted in a long time but maybe there are still some out there who remember me.  At some point I took the "Just Ride" to an extreme and stopped thinking about new parts, shiny objects or even talking about bikes.  I did not stop riding, just added a new chain, cables & tires once a year. and headed out.   I'm in my 8th decade now.  The last year has largely been spent undergoing medical torture but I have come through and hope to begin regaining my strength and flexibility as soon as the last bandage comes off my body in a few days.  However, my children and my better angel tell me it is time to start letting go and down sizing.  Last year we sold our Bilenky touring tandem and I truly hope the young couple who bought it are still going in the same direction!

I'm not ready to let go of either my Saluki nor my Rambouillet but will now sell my travel bike.  ( I'm told you can't take it with you but if you ever visit Hope Cemetery in Barre Vt you will see headstones carved as race cars, soccer, balls, and wedding beds).  So, this '84 Trek,  my first "good"  bike  will go to a new home, before me!.

The frame is 57 X 60.  This bike rides very much like my 62cm Ramboulliet.  It has been converted to 650 ( by Bilinkey who added couplers & powder coated) and fits a 38mm tire easily.  The handling is a bit more neutral than the Ram but it's just as responsive.  (BTW I went past Ramboulliet, France on a hi speed train, in the twink of an eye,  and didn't see any rams.)

I'm selling this with a lot of hi end Nitto, Silver, & Paul parts, but w/out a wheel set.  I'll keep those as back ups for the Saluki and my wife's Betty.
Pictures and more detailed info here on my local craigslist post,

Blessings to all my old RBW colleagues.
Michael

Michael,
I remember you well, as I long admired your perseverance in commuting by bicycle up there in the north country.
Hope you find a deserving owner for your Trek 620.
David
