Hi folks,

Just curious if anyone has a tall Roadini they're looking to move on, as I'm currently short a roadish bike in the stable. Funds are a bit tight with a recent move, but I thought I'd see what's out there (and see if any opportunities for mutually interesting trades might be afoot--the parts bin runneth over).

If you have something in the same spirit (and are in the 96+ PBH range), let me know--if nothing else it's fun to look!

Thanks,
Reid in Austin

Reid,

I have a 62 Ram complete that I could sell for a reasonable price. I'm in NOLA so maybe we could meet in the middle somewhere. Let me know if you're interested and I can email you a few pics.

Thanks,
Tommy Patterson

Should you not find a used ROADINI frameset the PayPal option at RivBike could work. Also, check the Garage Sale Bikes and Frames. The time to purchase a quality bicycle is when they are available.

Hey, I was just talking to someone about how many Rivendells we think there are in Louisiana. He said he'd seen a Ram in NOLA - yours is green, right? If so that makes at least you, Robert Bailey, and me.

Well, it seems like I'm the only one in the state holding on to my tall Rivendell - Robert is also selling his 61cm 1997 LongLow, asking about $2000 for the whole thing. I considered buying it but it definitely fits smaller than a modern up-sloping-top-tube Rivendell, the Roadini fits me perfectly but the LL's level top tube is a lot shorter and the standover height is smaller, fits more like a 57-58 in my opinion. It's a very well-appointed bike. Here's a post on the group from two years ago about it, I test-rode it about two months ago and as far as I know he still hasn't sold it.

Matt,

Yep, that's likely me. I've seen two other Rivs in NOLA -- a brown homer(?) and a quickbeam. Mine is the sparkly green ram. I go back and forth whether to invest in some upgrades or sell it for a more capable gravel/cross bike. I hardly ride it these days. Here's the current build...

How much are you asking for it? Might have some friends interested. To be perfectly honest if I had known someone in the state had a full one for sale in Grant's more modern geometry I'd have probably gone for that over building a new Roadini from the frame up. Not that I regret it, of course.

If you ever have any parts for sale let me know - I trust the taste of Rivendell owners implicitly.

Reid,

I have a few shorter nitto stems if you're interested. Maybe a pair of pedals or two. Send me a DM and I can look through the part bin.

I am emailing with another individual about selling the Ram and I suggested $1200 minus the handlebar bag/rack combo. I've seen Rams for sale from 1000 to 2000+ depending on build, condition/wear & tear, etc. If things falls through with the interested individual I will post some photos and list it for sale.

Thanks,
Tommy

Just a bump to say I'm still interested in a 61 roadini if anyone's got one!
