David:
Thanks for once again putting together an incredible adventure in the
heart of Orange County. I had the vague notion there was something
inland of San Clemente but no idea what was there. Truly a wonderful
day, at least 50-60% (??) off pavement, plenty of climbs (and
pushing!) to burn the calories.
+55% Rivendells: 2 Atlantis; 1 Hilsen; 1 Rambollet; 1 Riv custom.
The uber under bike was a carbon Calfee that went both uphill &
downhill faster than my Atlantis and was none the worse for wear at
the end of the day (rider skill may have been a factor). There were
even some "real" MTBs; go figure.
We started at the north end of San Clemente & finished up at Pizza
Port. Someone else may have statistics about distance & elevation but
a wonderful time was had by all.
