One of the reasons, I like Sackville bags is the shape.  The materials and details are excellent, and they help make the bags enjoyable to use.  But the shape seems to work well for me in terms of "packability".  In other words, it seems like some bags (frame bags for example) that have lots of cubic inches just can't hold some things.  But that new BagBoy, with its boxy shape look like it could hold all kinds of things.  For me, that makes it look like it packs bigger than in is.   Kinda like a ShopSack.  I'm seriously considering the BagBoy.

I like it. if it had side pockets (or even a foldy longflap hood) it would be the best bike bag i'd ever seen. I know that would make it like a carradice, but the shape is infinitely better.

I’d like it more if the D-rings were positioned in such a way as to allow carrying off the bike via a shoulder strap. The Small or the Medium could benefit from that as well and would see a ton more use in my case. Just park the bike, detach bag, put over the shoulder and go to the office / meeting / store...

Yep. I got a small recently which is fantastic, but that extra depth would make it almost perfect. Here's to hoping it makes its way into additional colorways. Like brown.

I have a Sackville bag obsession. I am trying to do my best to look away at talk of a new model. It appears to be futile.

If anyone would like to sell me their SMall sackville in Olive for a reasonable price so they can put funds toward the new bag, please let me know off liine. I missed a good deal a couple weeks ago before I knew I needed one.

I didn't see any mention of a corroplast stiffener on the bottom of the bag, like in the other saddlebags, does anyone know if these new BagBoys have one?

To add stiffness to any bag, the material that many election lawn signs are made of (seems to be a coated cardboard-ish stuff) work well.  Comes in large sizes, is free (after the election, of course) and with the mid-terms coming up will be in endless supply.  It breaks down with use but then you just whack out another chunk.

Works best to put Democratic lawn signs in left side saddlebags, Republican in the right. Moderate candidates (if you can find them) can be used in handlebar bags.

Hi, Thanks for the campaign sign recycling suggestions, but I was really wondering if the Bagboy was designed for and came with a stffener like my older Sackville saddle bags. I've never really been able to use a Sackville saddlebag without a rear rack supporting the bottom, probably because I carry 4 or 5 lb u-locks.

Probably best to ask Riv, but looking at the product page I find it hard to imagine the shape as pictured without a stiffener.

Why the bagboy as opposed to the medium?  Simply size difference?

I was at RBW this past Saturday and checked out a Bagboy that was on a demo bike. It had a stiffener in it.
