What's your experience?

Thinking if I ever try an upright bar, would these be better than strapping on mountain levers, just for the cleaner look.

But I like bar ends. Not sure if bar ends can be used with these levers.

Also wondering if the lever squeeze is easy at the extreme end of the handle bar, since the lever joins the pod there.

And full use of the entire bar for hand positions.

No: they plug into the ends of the handlebars, just as bar end shifters do.  This bike has downtube levers.

When you put your hand on the end of the bar and grip it, all your fingers are sitting right on the lever, so you have full hand strength.

An option would be to run cross levers backwards in the reverse lever
position, then the ends would still be open for barcon use.

Do the cables work backwards...ie...I guess you would be pulling the cable instead of pushing the housing?

I wouldn't ride a Alba or similar bar without them !   You can mount Paul thumbies next to the lever if you wish.  http://www.biketinker.com/2013/projects/reverso-levers-and-bar-end-shifters/

I prefer thumbies around the inside top inside myself as my hands are most often in the middle on up, almost never all the way back. I usually brake with just 2 or 3 fingers, the smallest ones .

Alternatively, Jtek makes some levers that mount into Shimano bar end shifters, and reverse brake levers that clamp on(22.2) that you can mount just after the bar end shifter.

Pretty much whatever you want to do .......

Interesting!

Personally, I'm very happy with my downtube shifters, but it's good to see that there are some worthwhile choices for those who still want barend shifters.

@ Clyde: Yes, the reverse brake work "backwards", but the lever is still pulling the cable against the housing.

I've had very good experience with reverse levers and like that there isn't any interruption with the tape which may open up addition hand positions. I just completed an install on mustache bars on my fixed gear Salsa Casseroll. I'm really liking this set up and may go with it on my QB.

FWIW, I've got a pair of reverse Tektros, I think; stock on the Hon Solo; black. Good condition. If anyone wants them, make me an offer with shipping from 87120.

Trades ideas welcome.
