All in all a great visit. Got to see the new MTB fork in the flesh (I'm not sure it was just me, but I thought you could see through the top blade segment; you can't it's just the same colour as the background in the Blug).
A highlight was when we went on a test ride, her on the Clem and me on a new AHH. Inexplicably the Homer got a front flat about half way through the ride. But a quick call to Will and Grant came out and swapped out the Homer for a new Atlantis. Two test bike rides for one! Later on Will said he couldn't remember anyone ever getting a flat on a test ride, so maybe I'm that lucky?
After that, details of Megan's Clem were settled on and what not. I've attached a picture of her and Grant discussing bar tape wrapping options and configurations. Meanwhile I talked with Henry and Vince briefly and swapped SF dirt rides with Will.
On the way back, Megan remarked how great it is that we are so close to RWB and asked if it's just dumb luck. It's her first bike as an adult, and she very happy with her choice. I own/have own a number of Riv bikes, but maybe I take for granted a little bit how lucky it is that they're so close. It's truly a unique business with unique individuals and a strong community backing it. It is definitely fun to be a part of that community.
I both the Atlantis and the Homer had the swoopy TT!
Megan isn't in possession of the Clem yet, but she's very excited about it. It really seems like a great bike for the price.
