Well I couldn't wait so I put it together .. first build and it will change I'm sure.  Went from an 18 rear to a 17 and wish I had gone 16... we'll see.  Felt nice and light especially after riding the Bombadil for a week.

So far so good.. Looking forward to throwing some miles on it...  I miss having a dyno hub and wired tail light and I've only ridden it once... I like the rear bag though and may start implementing it on the AHH instead of the Big Fun Bag.

This bike has been bounced around from owner to owner recently... I think it's found it's last stop.

Quickbeams are special bikes.  I miss mine (eying Steve's 60cm with unpure thoughts...).  Glad you found one of the rare big numbered ones!

...in terms of recreational cycling there are many riders who would probably benefit more from
improving their taste than from improving their performance.

Chose stem length to give me same distance to hooks as brake hoods on noodles and hooks on albatross.
Yet in doing so center of saddle to center handle bar at stem is 1" longer. The bars are also an inch to 2 inches lowernthan other bikes.

Be interesting to see how it ends up.

Biggest problem for me now is gearing.. How to make fenders work and looK right..to dyno or not.

I'm jealous of the fellas with the 68 'beams.  Beautiful bicycle TKS.  I hope you ride it a ton :)

I wonder which is more rare, the big ones or the little ones?  (50 and 52cm, 650b-wheeled and sidepull braked silver ones from the last production run)
