This is probably not a big deal to many of you, but the shifting on my Roadeo frameset is a lot better than my bikes with shorter chainstays. I use a TA Zephyr 48-34 crank with a 12-25 cassette, with Campy Centaur components. All the mechanical parts related to the drivetrain seem to last much longer than my other bikes. I have come to the conclusion that long chainstays help with lessening the severe angles of cross chaining and less friction. I have about  12k +or- miles on the drivetrain and I am on my third chain, a cheap KMC, with about 3000miles on it. Even my cassettes seem to last forever. I ride the hell out this bike, lots of hills, crappy pavement, you name it. I do take very care of the bike and clean the chain and cassette frequently.
