Greetings,

I have been wanting a Joe Appaloosa for about 5 years now. For whatever reason, I’ve not clicked buy now and I even had to cancel a pre order. A mint condition 60cm purple one came up for sale in the next province over and I scooped it up. I built it up this week and I must say that I’ve not been this excited about a bike in a long while. I like how it looks, I love how it rides. I was concerned a 60cm would be too big but honestly it fits me pretty perfectly.

I’m still deciding which cranks/chain ring I will settle on and whether I will put on a Mark’s rack and basket up front. All in all, I am very pleased with the build and the decision to finally scoop one of these up.

Cheers,
Trevor

Congratulations and thanks for posting a photo.
For me, RoadUno built 3x1 with 16t/18t flip-flop BMX freewheels was impossible to pass up.
I like the color, too - it turns a lot of heads, and starts conversations at rest stops.

Enjoy! My 57cm is a smidge oversized and I just adore how it rides. Great looking bike.

Re your crank selection, my Appaloosa was originally built with Silver cranks. The manager at my LBS sold me these really groovy Campagnolo 1990s MTB cranks, and I think they suit the bike better than the Silvers.

Enjoy!
I’ve just ordered a 47 lime olive that I’m going to cannabalize my AHH for. Stay tuned!
I can’t wait to see how that long assed chainstay feels.
I’ll probably update components over time.

Cheers!
