I’m interested if a Hudson Valley ride materializes and can highly recommend the
Harlem Valley Rail Trail as a lovely route.
The last stop of the Metro North Harlem Valley line is at Wassaic, NY, about a mile north of the start of the HVRT (and on the trail) for anyone who might want to day trip out of NYC. There are nice towns along the way and it can be done as an out and back that’s about 50 miles if you want to stay off the road. It’s quite flat and, I guess, unchallenging but I find it to be perfect for just spinning along.
In the hamlet of Wassaic there’s a fun bar/restaurant called
The Lantern that could make a great post-ride spot.
I’m not too well-versed in list etiquette so let me know if this is off-topic or would merit a new thread.

I could be in, should festivities start at an hour that would let me get in from Jersey.
