I attended school for Effective Cycling Instructors in Houston. Our teacher was a delightful man from Arizona. I forgot his name, but he was an air traffic controller.

I always liked R. Crumb's Mr. Natural, who has solutions for many issues...

Where I live, we have a rainy season before full summer really kicks in. This week has been mostly rain or cloudy skies, but it’s a little cooler, and honestly, rainy rides aren’t so bad.
Once summer arrives, though, it gets really humid and sticky.
I think some mountain gear works surprisingly well for cycling, depending on the piece. For riding in this kind of weather, I often wear a long-sleeve crew neck made from a technical mountaineering fabric called Octa. In winter I use it as a base layer, but in summer it works well as an active layer. The fabric has lots of tiny holes, so air passes through easily, and even when it gets soaked with sweat, it usually dries in about 15 minutes.
It also gives a bit of evaporative cooling, so it can actually feel cooler wearing it than riding with bare skin. Pretty strange, but it works.

Hi Kim-san,
Yes! I live in Japan.
Is Washington State cool this time of year? Do you have anything like a rainy season there?
