I saw someone who mounted their German Mirror on a Wald basket instead of the bars. Can't find the picture now. Anyone tried it before? Does it work? I had another mirror mounted to my basket that work well, but it stuck out and then my bike fell over and it broke. I'd love to keep all the space possible on my handlebars.

I have one mounted on the basket on my Sam. I just put a small PVC coupling in the basket so it had something round to attach to. I can view it well from any hand position on my noodle bars. It gets in the way once in a while but I expect that would be the case anywhere it was mounted.

Sorry for the delay. I have been out of town. I just threw the mirror on my basket to see if I would like it there. I figured I'd find a more elegant solution if it worked well. That was a thousand miles ago and it's still there. One of these days...

Thanks for the pics. I've seen the mirror mounted on the head tube like that. The basket seems like a better way to go since it gets the mirror further out.

I'm trying this out. I guess the worry is if it topples on the mirror. Clutter free bars though.
It only lasted a few months before my bike fell over and the mirror broke. I do love having a mirror though. Especially when riding with a kiddo on the bike.
