Has anyone shellacked cushioned Newbaum's?

If so, would you share a picture and/or your impressions? I'm curious as to how A) it looks; and, B) how the cush underneath works with the hard tape on top. 

I've double wrapped with unpadded Newbaum's and shellacked on the top layer with good success. I'm wondering if this would work out similarly.

Many years ago I did this and it worked fine. Can't easily access a photo for you. 
The shellacking doesn't stay that super hard sandpapery feel as long but the colour holds and it still maintains its protective abilities.

I tried the cushioned Newbaums, just did not like it, very thick.  I am sure it would shellac fine.  I do double wrap and shellac redux are Newbaums.
