Hello!
TK – short for “to come” – is a publishing staple I learned about
in my computer magazine editing days. As you worked on a piece,
you might insert “TK” in place of a word, name, phrase, sentence,
or paragraph as a reminder to indicate you hadn’t forgotten
anything, but you just hadn’t fleshed it out yet.
So with the holidays here, I do not want to dive into my boxes of
bike things, take photos and write up descriptions, pack said
boxes, and then deal with or further burden the busy national
shipping system. Instead, come the new year, I’ll be looking to
sell some of the following categories of parts and such, a mix of
new and mildly used, but now all just TK, to be fleshed out in
2022.
pedals: mainly Shimano mt. SPD, new & used
derailleurs: mainly Shimano 9-speed mt. & road
brakes: cantilevers, sidepulls, levers
bottom brackets: all British thread, mainly new
clothing: some wool, including new gabardine knickers
tires: three pairs 700x35, plus some new road
cassettes: mainly Shimano 9-speed, some 8-speed, mainly new
chains: mainly Shimano 9-speed, high-end 7/8-speed, all new
bar tape: leather and not-leather, many colors, several
brands, all new
tools: got some more, plus some nice price drops
chainrings: 110/74s from TA, Sugino, Vuelta, RaceFace,
Salsa, more, all new
headsets: threaded 1-inch, mainly new
books: some classics and other cycling publications I think
you’ll enjoy
forks: 1-inch and 1-1/8 inch, carbon with metal steerers
seatposts: mainly 27.2mm, plus others
stems: mainly threadless, some quill, both 26.0 & 31.8
clamps
bicycles: about 6 steel and titanium road bikes and
framesets from Bridgestone, Ibis, Burley, and Litespeed, all sized
around 56cm
Please think of this post as a friendly head’s up. Or as the
cycling stuff equivalent of “save the date.” And if you’re looking
for something particular in any of those 17 categories, send me a
note; it could be mutually helpful.
For now, happy solstice season to you all! May your days be
well-stocked with more light.
Smiles,
Dave, who if he had a tagline in this peer-to-peer world of buying
and selling bike stuff it would be “Let my overbuying become your
bargain” which is especially true as he and his cycling wife
downsize

P.S. We’re just downsizing. We’re still cycling. Even when these
sales are done, we will still have many pedals, derailleurs,
brakes, bottom brackets, clothing, tires, cassettes, chains, bar
tape, tools, chainrings, headsets, forks, seatposts, stems, and
bicycles.
P.P.S. If you’ve read this far, thanks! Plus, maybe you can help
me. I want to buy a Brooks B.17 titanium-rail saddle, antique
brown or honey, new or near-new. I’ll pay a good price and/or I
have a black ti-rail B.17 to trade.
