What: A cycling extravaganza with an ambitious 150ish mile goal

Hello RivSisters!

You are invited to cycle with the Queen of Cycling (Pamela Murray) in the Queen City (Charlotte, NC)! We are looking to get 150ish winter miles of RivSister joy and can hardly wait!

Arrive Jan 29th; meet up with the group for dinner and an evening ride.

The proposed schedule (which is subject to change) is as follows:

8am: coffee and breakfast

10am: roll out for ride (10-15 miles)

Noon lunch discussion

3pm: 2nd ride, ending at dinner

6pm: dinner ride home

Bring wool, layers and lights for riding in the dark. The routes will be available on Ride with GPS. We’ll be keeping a 12-14 mph average, so if you prefer a different pace, you’ll have the route and can go as you please. We will reconvene at the destination.

There are plenty of Air B&Bs in Pam’s neck of the woods - check Plaza Milwood, NoDa, Elizabeth and Belmont. Uptown offers a variety of hotels.

Hmmmmm....I could be interested in RivSister riding fun.  I will consider as I look at my schedule.  I don't mind riding in the cold like we did last year.  Appropriate layers and you are set to go.  I can handle lots of miles but prefer a casual pace 12 ish for exploring.  I'll be looking at my schedule.

You betcha I’ll be there again this year!  So much fun last year. 

I’m a slower rider, so hopefully some slower riders will join too. 

Last year was unusually cold for North Carolina.

Y’all, my silence here does not mean that I’ve ruled out joining you RivSisters. There are simply some matters to work out before I can commit. 

If I DO join, though, Roberta and I will be riding together in the slower group—but having equally as much fun. :)
