Pretty much unused, though installed and carried around on the hub for a couple of years as a theoretical climbing gear.
I used a sophistiphicated hammer-and-punch technique to remove it from the hub since I did not have the removal tool, but it does have splines, apparently for a tool. At any rate, it seems fine -- it was not screwed on very tight.
