Brooks Rivet repair

[Jon Dukeman,central Colorado]

The rivet on the nose of my Brooks Saddle snaped off.
Isn't there a place that repairs Brooks.
I never registered it so it's not under warranty.

Also Rudi Mayer (RHM) in the classic and vintage section of Bike Forums does really nice saddle repair restoration, he is near Princeton NJ.

I know both folks personally so can recommend either with confidence.

You can also search on Bike Forums in Classic and Vintage and I am sure some one there would be able to help you do the repair yourself if you feel handy. Maybe put some picture up here and see if there is a fix we could help with.

I'm in downtown Philadelphia (called Center City, if you're familiar), just south of Rittenhouse Square.  They are in Fishtown.

They are 3 miles from my house, along one of my standard rides.  I've heard so much about them, but with the dozen or more bike shops within walking distance from my house, I've never stopped by their store, although they are on my list for a visit.  From what I've heard, they are the most Riv-ish shops in town, but I am lucky enough to have found a mechanic at another shop who is very Riv-ish.

I had one break. Got the replacement part from SJS.

I received my saddle back and it looks brand new.
Rivet replaced retensioned &shipped back. Took about a week.
Very pleased.

I have re-riveted 3 or 4 B17's. I changed over to the big copper rivets.
