I am finally getting back to working on the Custom - first up is lacing up the wheels. I dis-assembled and sold my orange Sam frame and dis-assembled the 700C wheels for the hubs. I have now polished up the Curtis Odom Holey high flange hubs - not quite as pristine as they were years ago, but they clean up pretty well. Now to lace them to the polished Velocity 650B Quill rims.

I have to admit, I had never heard of these beautiful hubs before. The workmanship is extraordinary.

I hope you don't me posting a link I found after Googling. https://www.cognoscenti-cycles.com/blog/2017/2/21/curtis-odom

I ran across them in 2011 or 2012 and ordered this set in 2013. This will be the second set of wheel built with them. My first set on nice hubs, back in 72, were Campagnolo Tipos which were large flange with round holes and I have always had a soft spot for them as well as the whole "Drillium" thing.
