In which I get a perfect day to test out my new bullmoose bars, with brisk temps, steady breezes around 20mph and sneezes up to 40mph, while coming and going, climbing and descending, and singletrack with bounce and jounce. Delightful!

Patrick,
That is a great review. Your photos inspire.
It appears Riv is out of stock, so I will await their restock to try a pair based on your review.
All the best,
Erl

A far better review than the one I provided over on iBob for my recent bullmoose adventures, but couldn't agree more with every word you've written. They are surprising. Never had a flat bar that offered so many different hand positions. I have now added them to two of my fixed gears which see a mixture of on and off road use.

Mono-fixed with threadless bullmoose (Lousy workshop photos. While I did get out for a ride on this one today after adding Compass Rat Trap Pass tires, It was too cold for me to bother stopping to get better photos):

Thanks, Erl and Hugh! Aye, Erl, I bought the last pair from Riv. https://bluelug.com has them, straight from Japan. Just don’t buy them out before I can get another pair or two myself! Grin. Actually, I’m going to be trying the ChocoMoose on my QB, but after loving how these wide bars feel, I’m wondering if they’ll feel too narrow. I’d like a bit more differentiation between the Quickbeam and Hunqabeam, and the bars are a great way to do that, but I need to love them equally, or I’ll go with the Bullmoose.

With abandon,
Patrick

Oh, I forgot to say, Erl, I asked Riv about restock, and they said they currently have no plans to restock. I imagine they weren’t too high on the selling list.

Patrick, I'm so happy you like them!  Great review.  Solid, confidence-inspiring, the right height and width, great leverage, and multiple realistic hand positions.  Uncanny how a bar+stem that's fixed in place can be so right for so many situations.

Just got a set of these handlebars second hand, they are beautiful.  Very excited to try them!  I could see these becoming pretty valuable if riv decides to stop making them.

Deacon I have the Bullmoose bars on my Sam. Really love the angles and looks of them. I have another set of them but not sure which bike I’d install them on. I’m a big fan of the Jones bar too and they both just work very well for me for comfort (and style points)
