I know it's a really long shot but by all means y'all feel free to let me know about it!

I've recently come to understand that my recurring knee pain is a result of always riding my saddle a bit too low, and raising the saddle meant raising the stem/bars as well to keep things level. Now the size 56 feels just too small sadly. I'm 6'1"

The All Rounder is probably my favorite bike I've ever owned even though it's a size too small for me, and I'd really love to have another in a size that fits. As I understand it, the 58 All Rounder was the last size to keep 26" wheels so a size 60 with 700cc wheels is not really what I'm looking for even though it would fit. Also should point out that I am not looking for a modern Rivendell with long chainstays and double toptube, been there done that and it's not for me.

Frame/fork or full bike with comparable parts. Really only "want" to trade but... If someone is determined to buy it I guess they'll let me know. Bonus points if someone happens to know of a dormant size 58 not of their own but can facilitate it's purchase in exchange for the acquisition of my 56! Point is I'm hesitant to let the bike go without a bike to put in it's place during this pandemic bike shortage.

Something of similar strengths but disc brake could pull me away from it as well, Crust, Singular Peregrine, etc.

Phil Wood/Sun CR18 front wheel
Bullseye (made in USA) rear
Paul Neo Retro/Touring canti brakes
Nitto Jaguar NJ-SP72 seat post
Nitto Pearl stem, Mustache bars
Suntour Superbe brake levers
Suntour Cyclone/Deaore derailleurs and shifters
Ritchey cranks

32" standover at bottom bracket

It's in really great shape, if a bit dirty. More pics if there's interest.

Ok, I've received a ton of emails. I'll try to answer the bike specific questions real quick with some photos which should cover all the requests. I didn't figure there'd be so much interest and I apologize for the grief for not have an answer to the "how much?" emails. Since I was hoping to trade I truly don't have a price in mind to sell. I think the first 4 emails arrived simultaneously so I'm not even sure who to fairly give the first shot without there being an offer on deck.

The bike is currently on 26" wheels and 2.1" tires, tubed.

The bike weighs 23.6 lbs in the photo.

Top tube length (C-C) - 22", and (because c-c is too hard to measure and photograph by myself) the seat tube to head tube - 21" as pictured

Crank bolt to top of saddle - 30".
I'm not sure how that measurement is helpful so I also included top of pedal to top of saddle - 36" / 175mm crank length.
Saddle height from ground is 39 1/4". Note that the seat post in the picture is a Nitto S83, not the Jaguar NJ-SP72 because is was too short to reach my new saddle height.

Based on that TT measurement it looks like it probably is a 55.

Frame size should be easy to measure - center of crank to top of seat lug. Based on "Crank bolt to top of saddle - 30"." and what appears to be 6-1/4" [(36-1/8) - (29-7/8] from top of seat lug to top of saddle -> 30" - 6-1/4" = 23-3/4" = 60.3 cm.

Or another estimate
top of pedal to center of crank bolt for 175 mm crank - 175 - (15/2) = 167.5mm = 6.6"
36-1/8" - 6-1/4" - 6.6" = 23.3" = 59.1

I would say the frame is a 59 based upon the Cyclofiend chart and that it has 26" wheels.
Note that 56cm = 22", if the bike were a 56, it would measure 22" from the center of the crank bolt to the top of the seat lug

Note that your height is not what matters, it is your PBH. I am 6' but have short legs and thus a short PBH - I need bikes with the TT several inches longer than the ST.

If you really like the bike, why not just get a longer seatpost and stem, Nitto makes 300mm seatposts (Riv only lists 250mm versions) and taller stems also. Nitto even makes a 300mm tall lugged setback seatpost. I would guess that it is easier to find the long seatpost and stem than a larger frame.

The TT measurement from the Cyclefiend site does not match what a 59 should be. I would need to see a real ST measurement to say for sure. Not a measurement with teh saddle included.

Looks like 55cm square to me. Does anybody have the original geometry chart handy to confirm this was an AR size? This looks like the shorter-TT version for drops or Moustache. This is SUCH a nice bike!

I attached the original geometry chart above. I do agree that it does seem to have a shorter TT than the standard AR 55cm geometry.

This is why Justin's measurements were so helpful. In my experience window shopping ARs over the last 27 years, the sizing tends to shift around a bit from batch to batch. Plus I think some were custom-ordered to fit the buyer.

FWIW, I'm not convinced the geometry of ARs changed much - however there were definitely choices for top tube length, even within a given model year.  So that fact makes it hard to use the TT measurement as an indicator of frame size.  Attached for the sake of interest is the order sheet for my '99 double-joe AR.  This one is probably a year or two newer than Justin's, based on the change from horizontal to vertical dropouts with all other details being very similar.  Note in the first box, the option for a "short top tube!"

(The original owner saved this and passed it on when I bought the bike.  It's pretty neat that it shows the tubing specs too.  He was an inch shorter than me, but had a more normal inseam and saddle height that was 4cm longer than mine. So, in my case of being all torso,  I'm super lucky he did NOT opt for the shorter top tube.  He was also 40 pounds heavier and, since this was listed, can only assume that the tubing was specified based on rider weight and was NOT the same for all ARs. )

Here's some better photos. The last 4 photos are all the wear that I can spot on the bike. The wear on the chain stay behind the chainring is from a misguided chainring experiment and is normally hidden behind a third ring that I forgot to reinstall after taking the photo. 46/42/24 half-step setup with the 46 acting mostly as a chainguard although it is functional.
