Agreed with Patrick. They're a bit of a pain sometimes because they almost hold too well, but I gave away all my other cages and replaced them with the King Cage Irises. I bought direct from them; they also carry a cute bottle opener (part of a cage) that makes a great gift for a fellow cyclist :)

The Iris cage is unbeatable for holding bottles securely; I doubt you can do better even for 28 oz bottles. The only more secure cages I've used are ugly plastic Profile cages with elastic band tensioners.

However, they are out of stock at Rivendell. It's not a problem to wait (I have other options), but I was wondering how different (or not) they were from the King Iris cages. It looks like the Dia-compe is taller, and I only use tall water bottles. Would that make a difference? Dia-Compe looks sleeker, but would I even notice that on a seat tube?I'm also willing to buy one cage from a member here. Thanks,Roberta, Philadelphia, PA 19154
