A handful of short-mileage rides so far, but what a sweet ride!

Beautiful, Forrest.

Classic Rivendell with that look that suggests the 10 speeds I remember from the 70s.  All modern parts and tires with a beautiful frame and none of the useless trendy stuff they slap on to try to sell more bikes.  Very nice.  Looks fast.

Ride and enjoy.

Very nice, especially with that special Go Fast Red paint. Everybody knows red bikes are faster!

"Everybody knows red bikes are faster!"

You mean I'd go even slower if my Saluki weren't red?

Beautiful bike Forrest, thanks for sharing it.

What is the thinking behind putting the Rodeo out without DT shifter braze ons?  It's easy to convert these for BE or brifters, but impossible to add dt shifters after the fact.  If I bought a Rodeo (unlikely although tempting), I would want to put dt shifters on it.

I don't know RBW's thinking on that. Sometimes I think about going back to DT shifters for old time's sake and because they are spare/lean/clean. Then I think the better of it when I think of how well the BE shifters work and how used to them I am. I have thought about doing a brifter Shimergo conversion (Campy 10-speed brake levers to my Shimano 8-speed cassette), but why spend the $$ and lose the ability to micro-adjust on the fly? Just my thinking ...  -- fm

As I recall, since the Roadeo is intended as an alternative to carbon bikes for fast club rides, the figuring was that most would end up running some style of brifter so the DT shifter mounts were left off in favor of cable stops.
