You'll need to compare the stem heights you're working with on those Boscos with a DirtDrop. My experience on my custom:
I starrted with a Bosco Bullmoose and ended with a 10cm DirtDrop and Billie Bar, my vague-ish memory is the Billies are slightly lower than the Bullmoose. In between I had a Tallux and regular Bosco, that one was MUCH higher at Max Height.
I have hand/wrist issues too and you definitely want to know if your new bars/stem are going to be high enough. I would take a long look at the height specs on the stem page at Rivbike, my memory of Chocos are they don't have a ton of rise so that stem is going to be doing most of the work. Also remember you can't totally rely on the Max Height line for Rivs because of their extended headtubes. That baby's gotta be buried enough to reach the toptube intersection.
One more note: The DirtDrop/Choco combo should feel notable stiffer than Tallux/Bosco.
