With no luck, I have been looking for a used Tosco-moose for my Gus for the last two years.  About a year ago, I contacted some custom frame/handlebar makers around the country to see if anyone was interested in fabricating some approximation of the discontinued bars.  Sean from Oddity Cycles got back to me last year. After some conversation and photos showing my current set up with Toscos and a Paul Boxcar stem, my failed experiment with Loscos and  Nitto V-5, photos of some Tosco-Moose set-ups, and swept-back bars he has fabricated in the past, he got me into his custom handlebar build queue.  The new titanium, swept-back, moose handlebar arrived this week.  I installed it last night and took it out for a spin today.  I'm in heaven!  It is beautiful and has the slight flex and dampening qualities of titanium, making it incredibly comfortable.  This is not a Tosco-moose copy, but a close relative.  Slightly narrower, less rise (more like the Losco) with perfect sweep and reach.  It's a stunning bar.  So stoked to have it on the bike finally!

Those look fantastic! Without reading the whole post, my mind immediately said “Losco-Moose!”. Great job.

Took me two years to finally track down the Tosco moose for my Gus. If I could nitpick them, I’d say I wished the bars had just a bit more downward angle… an adjustment you unfortunately give up with any “moose” bar.

I’d love to know what they charged you for the fabrication… could you send me a DM with the details?

@Eric,

Your Gus is very impressive to say none the least. The custom built handlebars are gorgeous. It is wonderful to hear that you feel like you are riding in total comfort feeling like you are in heaven. Comfort is everything that brings the smiles and joy in cycling.
Ride on !

Those bars are hot, no question about it.

Look at those welds!  Wow!!!

Thanks for sharing,  I am experiencing an acute case of Moose Envy.  .

I tried a Losco set-up on my Gus a couple of years back but just couldn't get the bars to stop slipping under load.  I'm too big and ride this bike on pretty aggressive trails and could not get the set-up to work.  But it looked gorgeous!
