Portland Travel

Hi--

If all goes well, I will be visiting Portland for the first time to
attend a bicycle planning workshop at Portland State University's
Institute for Bicycle and Pedestrian Innovation in late August. I
plan to arrive a few days early with my bike in tow. I will have to
get me and my bike from the airport to my hotel. Is anyone from
Portland willing to email me off the list to help me work through some
of the logistics? I'm also considering bike rental, so feedback on
this would also be helpful.

I just flew to portland from SF. they have a bicycle repair stand and some tools you can borrow, at the airport. just ask the info desk.
When we arrived, we put our bikes together and rode to our destination. it was very easy.
They also have public transport, but we did not use it.

TrIMet's Max trains go right from the airport to downtown Portland and you can bring your bike on Max no problem.
